Watania is proud to be associate with Ministry of Interiors in support of its Unified Gulf Traffic Week. This campaign is aimed at reducing fatal accidents and encouraging better driving experience and following of law through education. The spreading of this important information to all our customers and associates is a duty that we do with honour, in service of nation and humanity at large.

Watania Takaful PJSC, one of the leading insurance companies in the UAE, is proud to partner with the Ministry of Interior to promote safe driving practices and recognize exceptionally responsible drivers in the country.

As part of the Unified Gulf Traffic Week, the Ministry has selected 30 "Perfect Drivers" who were honored for their exemplary driving skills and adherence to traffic rules.

Watania Takaful, selected by the Ministry of Interior as the Takaful (Islamic insurance) partner for the campaign, has provided free comprehensive or TPL annual Motor Takaful policies to the nominated safe drivers, along with several other benefits such as roadside assistance and car rental services in case of accidents or breakdowns.

Commenting on the partnership, Gautam Datta, CEO, Watania Takaful said, "We are delighted to join hands with the Ministry of Interior in recognizing the good and safe drivers across the UAE. As a Takaful company, we believe it is crucial to foster a culture of responsible driving and support all government and social initiatives to help reduce road accidents by promoting safe driving practices on our roads. We hope that this initiative will inspire more drivers to adopt responsible driving habits and contribute to making our roads safer for all."

Brig. Ahmed Al-Sam Al-Naqbi, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al-Khaimah Police and Head of Traffic Awareness and Safety and member of the Federal Traffic Council, thanked and appreciated all the strategic partners, including Watania Takaful, which provided support and valuable contribution within the efforts to make this national event a success.

The Traffic and Transportation Digital Week took place from 6 to 12 March at the Global Village in Dubai and UAE residents were invited to participate in the various activities such as virtual exhibitions, and workshops on road safety.
